UNPARRALLED GROWTH RATES AND AN END TO BLOSSOM ROT

Humidity is a complicated business in grow rooms. Dry air allows water to evaporate, which leads to your plants transpiring or water evaporating from the leaves. In turn they draw up too many nutrients and burn the leaves. Whereas, if your humidity is too high condensation can form on the leaves and cause mould. Your plants won’t be able to transpire and won’t draw up enough nutrients. To complicate things more, the temperature of the air has a knock-on effect on the volume of humidity the air can hold.

VPD is a measurement of the ability of moisture to evaporate from the leaves of your plant. VPS is the best measurement of how your environments air will affect a plants growth. It uses several grow-room variables, including; Air temperature, air humidity and canopy temperature to calculate the pressure of water vapour between the plant and surrounding air.

Months of research have gone into the Intelligent Humidity Controller - it calculates the vapour pressure deficit on the leaves of your plants and maintains the optimum humidity depending on where the plant is in the growth cycle and your grow room temperature. In short, it creates a better environment for your plants and increases your yields.

The GAS Intelligent Humidity controller comes with a temperature, humidity and light probe as well as day and night humidity functions, it gives you the option to control your humidifier in 4 different ways. It also has a warning display feature to let you know if your humidifier has run out of water.

WHICH INTELLIGENT HUMIDITY CONTROLLER FOR ME?

The standard model suites all humidifiers, altering the units output depending on ambient humidity within the grow room. It outputs to a standard 3-pin uk plug.

SENSOR POSITIONING

Centre the sensor in the middle of the grow room at the same height as the canopy. make sure there is some airflow over the sensor to increase the accuracy of measurements, making the intelligent humidity controller more accurate.

INTELLIGENT HUMIDITY CONTROLLER - 4 CONTROL TYPES

Four ways to use the controller to regulate humidity. To change a control setting, enter the main menu on the device scroll down to control type and make a selection. In order to use control types 3 and 4, you will need to take a temperature reading from your foliage and make a note of the difference between the foliage temp and air temp. In a typical climate controlled grow environment, the leaves in direct light should be 1-3°C cooler than the surrounding air. The Easiest way to take a temperature reading from your foliage is with a laser thermometer

1. RELATIVE HUMIDITY 24 HOURS

Will maintain the set relative humidity 24 hours a day.

2. RELATIVE HUMIDITY DAY / RELATIVE HUMIDITY NIGHT

Will allow you to set relative humidity for day (lights on) and a different humidity setting for night (lights off).

3. VPD 24 HOURS

This is an intelligent function that takes into account the air temperature, relative humidity and plant temperature to maintain the Vapour Pressure Deficit according to the plants growth stage. Set the controller at your plants growth stage and it will calculate and maintain the ideal relative humidity.

4. VPD DAY / RELATIVE HUMIDITY NIGHT

This control type is an intelligent function that takes into account the air temperature, relative humidity and plant temperature to maintain the Vapour Pressure Deficit according to the plants growth stage. Set the controller at your plants growth stage and it will calculate and maintain the ideal relative humidity. You can also set a static night time relative humidity.
